Logistics Analyst
690-294 – Fremont, CA
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Logistics Analyst works collaboratively with Sales, Manufacturing,
and Supply Chain insuring that materials and finished goods are accurately
tracked and accounted for. He/she is responsible for establishing and maintaining
accurate logistics related records, such as finished goods inventory files
and import/export customs files, and coordinating various logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities (others may be assigned):

Works with sales planning staff to schedule finished goods shipping at
third-party warehouses.
- Tracks and records finished goods inventory transactions.
- Coordinates direct material pick-up schedules with purchasing staff.
- Completes shipping documentation for contract manufacturers.
- Records and reports direct material shipment quantities.
- Records and reports all material receipts.
- Publishes comprehensive inventory summaries and transaction activity
reports.
- Keeps internal customers updated of inventory transit positions.
- Plans and manages regular cycle counts for both internal and 3PL warehouses.
- Maintains inventory accuracy.
- Maintains comprehensive finished goods shipping records.
- Audits warehouse storage and handling bills.
- Works closely with finance team and regularly provides activity documents.
- Accesses and analyzes daily inventory data from company enterprise systems.
Experience and Qualifications:
-
5-yrs experience working with electronic inventory management systems such
as SAP, WMS, Oracle
- 5-yrs scheduling/managing general freight transportation
- 3-yrs experience managing inventory with third-party warehouse providers
- 3-yrs experience working directly with buyers and supporting purchasing
department
- 3-years providing logistics support to customer service or sales support
staff
- Demonstrated understanding of supplier shipment planning
- Demonstrated knowledge of transportation carrier shipment tracking systems
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of financial statements
Some local travel may be required.
