Solaria is Solar Powered!
Solaria's new headquarters and manufacturing facility are now solar powered. The Solaria solar power systems installed at the headquarter facility feature 500 of Solaria’s patented photovoltaic modules, which are optimized for solar tracking systems to maximize energy production. Solaria modules are installed on single axis horizontal and azimuth ground-mounted solar tracking systems.
In early March, Solaria Corporation hosted its investors for the company’s first annual Investor Day. Solaria investors toured Solaria’s new Fremont, CA headquarters and manufacturing facility. “We are pleased to showcase Solaria during our inaugural Investor Day,” said Solaria CEO Dan Shugar. “We’re very proud of the progress that Solaria has made toward mainstreaming solar energy as we lead the way toward a more sustainable future.”
Solaria Corporation employees are currently test driving the highly anticipated 2012 Toyota Plug-in Prius Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). All Spring, longtime electric vehicle owner Dan Shugar, CEO of Solaria, and other Solaria employees will be experiencing firsthand the performance and energy saving features in the newest Prius, provided by Toyota as part of its worldwide Toyota Plug-in Prius demonstration program. The Silicon Valley Leadership Group and its partner, the Bay Area Climate Collaborative, are working to promote the benefits of electric vehicles through broad visibility of these vehicles in the community.
Solar industry veteran Tyroan Hardy has been promoted to the position of Vice
President of Customer Applications. “Tyroan uses his years of industry experience
and outstanding focus on the customer experience to ensure that we are delivering
high value solutions that delight our customers,” said Solaria CEO Dan Shugar.
“Tyroan’s promotion to Vice President, Customer Applications is both recognition
for his past efforts and a commitment to future customers that they will receive
the best customer service in the industry.”
As one of the first to manage the construction of large scale solar projects,
Mr. Hardy has spent over ten years at the forefront of the solar industry’s
move toward commercial and utility scale systems. He brings a deep knowledge
of what works—and what doesn’t—to Solaria’s offerings in systems design,
construction, and practical application of solar power in general.
