According to a model developed by Columbia University, Solaria modules have an energy payback time (EPBT) of less than one year. This represents one of the fastest energy paybacks of any crystalline silicon solar module on the market today.

EPBT refers to the amount of time required to “pay back” the energy used for production. Today’s average crystalline solar module takes two or more years to produce enough energy to pay back the energy used to manufacture it.
