How to Donate Your Used Solar Panels for a Greener Earth

Solar is one of the best ways to be green, but what do you do with solar panels after they’re removed? We get this question frequently form homeowners that would like to upgrade their existing systems. We encourage folks to donate their panels. There are numerous organizations in need of solar panels for their humanitarian efforts and your donation could make a huge impact on those in need. Did we mention that donating panels is tax deductible?

It is common for a well-maintained system to keep working for many years beyond their warranty. We’ve also noted that with the major advancements in solar technology, many people simply wish to upgrade sooner for efficiency, style, tech, or home equity. Whatever your reason for upgrading, consider donating your used solar panels. This is just one more way we can work together to make a cleaner, greener earth.
