Job Description of Master Production Planning

Duties and Responsibilities (others may be assigned)

  • Provide the central point of contact for production planning by working with:

    -   Sales to establish delivery priorities

    -   Operations to establish production plan

    -   Procurement to manage materials purchase requirements

    -   Finance to attain inventory targets, control, costs reductions, and forecasts

    -   Engineering with product development and NPI activities

    -   Quality on ECO’s, MRB, RMAs etc.

  • Ensure product deliveries to meet customer commitment dates

  • Propose and Implement planning processes improvements within the company

  • Drive implementation of an ERP system for Production Planning, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain transactions

  • Program manage contract manufacturers

  • Provide materials forecast to vendors and manage compliance and forecasts

  • Manage KPI’s for delivery-to-commitment dates, inventory levels, material availability etc.

  • Summarize and communicate information effectively with the management team

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in solar module manufacturing is highly desirable

    -   Similar complex manufacturing experience acceptable

  • 5+ years MES, Production Management experience

  • CPIM certification preferred

  • Prior experience in the configuration and implementation of an ERP system

    -   NetSuite experience highly preferred

    -   Familiarity with NetSuite Product Data Management, Planning and Scheduling, and Work Order modules, plus Manufacturing Execution Systems modules desirable

  • Ability to work comfortably across the organization

  • Experience working in a multicultural global environment

  • Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Skilled in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Ability and willingness to travel Internationally once or twice a year

  • Self-directed and able to prioritize multiple competing tasks

  • Comfortable in a fast paced, high-growth environment
