Senior Human Resources Generalist - Fremont, CA

Job Description

We are looking for a (Human Resources) HR Generalist to join our team and implement various human resources programs. Candidates should have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. Responsibilities will include a wide range of HR tasks, such as organizing trainings, safety compliance, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. The HR Generalist will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. This role acts as a main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics and reports directly to the VP of Human Resources.

Responsibilities (others may be assigned)      

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes

  • Update, maintain and implement Employee Handbook

  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives

  • Set-up and manage employees in HRIS system

  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolution of employee relations issues as they arise

  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace

  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies

  • Undertake tasks around performance management

  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates

  • Organize and support annual employee performance reviews

  • Create and maintain employee files and records

  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities

  • Promote employee safety in the workplace

  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations

  • Support Finance staff with payroll processing, when needed

  • Manage ADP WorkforceNow platform and ADP support requests

  • Personal ongoing development, attending HR related trainings

Requirements      

  • 5 Years working experience in Human Resources

  • BSc/BA in relevant area or equivalent experience

  • Current PHR or other Additional HR training is a plus

  • Strong familiarity with employment/labor laws

  • Strong familiarity with benefits, ERISA, COBRA regulations, etc

  • Practitioner level familiarity with California payroll laws and processes

  • Excellent and proven ability to work with the utmost discretion

  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is a plus

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Self-starter with an aptitude in problem-solving

  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach

  • A passion for HR and the internal clients you serve

  • A desire to be a part of the Renewable Energy Industry
